Tyler Pinard

Tyler Pinard began his fire service career in 2017 with Holly Ridge Fire Department in Onslow County, North Carolina. Prior to entering the fire service, Tyler served in the United States Marine Corps from 2011 to 2015 as an Infantry Marine, separating from service at the rank of Corporal. His time in the military helped shape the leadership, discipline, and work ethic he continues to carry into the fire service today.

Tyler served with Newport Fire Department from 2019 to 2022, where he further developed his skills and passion for the job before joining the Indian Beach Fire Department in Carteret County. He currently serves as a Lieutenant with Indian Beach Fire Department, where he is committed to training, mentorship, and building capable firefighters who are prepared for the realities of the job.

Tyler has a strong passion for engine company operations, rapid intervention, victim management, and preserving a fire service culture that allows firefighters to aggressively and effectively perform the job they signed up to do. He believes in practical, hands-on training rooted in discipline, accountability, and fireground readiness, while maintaining the traditions and brotherhood that make the fire service unique.

Driven by a constant desire to learn and improve, Tyler remains committed to developing both himself and those around him while serving the community and the fire service with pride.
